The Element Of Earth

Earth brings stability, determination, and reliability. Earth is steadfast and predictable. The Earth element is the realm our our five senses — the appreciation of physical beauty, the taste of fine food, the enjoyment of music. With  an overabundance of Earth, a person can be materialistic or sluggish.  A lack of Earth may make someone impractical or scattered.

Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are the three Earth signs. Havin Sun, Moon, or any of the planets from Mercury through Saturn in these signs can secure in the native the qualities of Earth.

The Element Of Air

Air is the realm of the mind. It invokes curiosity and brings an eagerness to make connections with other people. Air circulates ideas and thoughts, and it understands function in the world around us. Having too much Air can make a person overly chatty or too intellectual about even the simplest things in life. Not enough Air and a person may have difficulty communicating with others.

Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are the three Air signs. Having some of Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn placed in these signs can ensure a good representation of the Air element.

The Element Of Water

Water soothes and cleanses. Representing the emotional realm, it can ebb and flow in a gentle rhythm, or it can come gushing through our life in torrents. Water needs to be contained by Earth or it will have no boundaries. A person with a strong representation of the Water element is likely highly sensitive — even intuitive — when responding to his or her environment. Having no Water can make someone lack empathy or may make the individual seem emotionally cold.

Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are the three Water signs. Sun, Moon, or any planets from Mercury through Saturn placed in these signs can contribute to a person’s emotional side expressed through the Water element.
