Canada In 2014: A Pivotal Year

Many people look to horoscope columns as the New Year approaches in search of insight for the twelve months ahead. Yet those of us with even basic awareness of astrology know that a more valid and meaningful forecast can be derived when the tools of astrology are applied specifically to one’s own birth chart. These tools can be applied to the birth charts of nations, too, making it possible to use astrology to glean ideas of the upcoming year for an entire country. As for Canada, Astrology seems to reveal that we are due for some significant change in 2014. The year promises to be pivotal.

Remembering Robert Blaschke

Perhaps we need to stop more to reflect on people who have been very meaningful in our life. I feel grateful that I had the chance to know Robert Blaschke, a brilliant astrologer and skilled teacher. Today would have been his 60th birthday, and I can’t help thinking how so many people do miss him. He had a very caring approach to his work with clients and students, and I’m sure that was true in his personal relationships as well.

November 2013 Solar Eclipse

Last Sunday’s solar eclipse occurred just before 4:50 am Pacific Standard Time with both Sun and Moon at 11° 16′ of Scorpio. Although the eclipse could not be seen from Vancouver, casting a chart for that moment in time can reveal some interesting things that are likely to be made known over the next 6 months or so in our city. The recent lunar eclipse emphasized polarity and contrasts. This solar eclipse marks significant endings and beginnings.

Vancouver and Tomorrow’s Lunar Eclipse

A Lunar Eclipse marks a time of intense polarization. Setting tomorrow’s eclipse chart for Vancouver shows some interesting things to note. By the way, the chart set for Victoria BC, representing the province as a whole, is basically the same.
