2014 Solar Eclipse In Scorpio

Just minutes before 3:00 pm Pacific Time, we’ll experience a Solar Eclipse in the wee degrees of Scorpio. That’s right, the Moon just squeaks into Scorpio this afternoon and less than one hour later wanders in front of the Sun, blocking the light. Looking at this rain right now, I wonder if any of us here in Vancouver will actually get to see our dear Sun let alone notice the lack of it. However…

British Columbia and the April 2014 Lunar Eclipse

We’re about to experience a Lunar Eclipse after midnight tonight. At 12:42 am Pacific Time on April 15, the earth will block the sun’s rays, casting a shadow on what otherwise would have been a very bright full moon. The eclipse will reach totality a few minutes later, and we, here in British Columbia, will have a great view of it.

November 2013 Solar Eclipse

Last Sunday’s solar eclipse occurred just before 4:50 am Pacific Standard Time with both Sun and Moon at 11° 16′ of Scorpio. The recent lunar eclipse emphasized polarity and contrasts. This solar eclipse marks significant endings and beginnings.

Jupiter Direct at 6° Gemini

Yesterday, in the wee hours of the morning here in Vancouver, Jupiter shifted back into direct motion. From our perspective on Earth, it’s almost like the planet needed to travel in reverse gear from it’s place at 16° Gemini last October to tend to some unfinished business. It made it back to 6° Gemini where it stopped for a moment. Now it is getting back into first gear.

Jupiter rules higher education — looking at the world with a broad, open mind. Jupiter brings expansion and growth. Jupiter is freedom to explore one’s belief system. Jupiter can inspire travel in order to enjoy the enriched experience of being with other cultures. Jupiter always wants to know more and wants to share that knowledge with others. And Jupiter can certainly dabble in politics.
